INMATE COMMUNICATION

There are a variety of ways to keep in contact with an incarcerated loved one. In addition to inmate visitation, the Madison County Jail also provides the following services:

Telephone 

Inmate telephones will be available for use from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Inmates will have access to these telephones except during lockdown times. 

Inmate phones are a privilege and may be limited due to inmate discipline.

 Inmate Tablets

The Axxs Tablet program is a low-cost monthly subscription service that gives your loved one the ability to make phone calls, listen to music, read books,! play games, perform legal research, participate in video visitation, access religious material, review educational resources, complete parenting and recovery workbooks, and look for a job - all through one device!

 Inmate Chirper Device

The Chirper allows inmates to remain connected to friends and loved one 

through real-time two-way communication.

Mail

Mail Guidelines

Inmates have the right to unlimited correspondence at their own expense.
All inmate mail is inspected for contraband.


All outgoing mail must be addressed properly with a full name and address of the sender and full name and address of intended receiver.


Items sold in commissary may not be mailed into the facility (stamps, envelopes, etc.). All other items mailed in are subject to refusal by jail staff based on the safety and security of the facility. Greeting cards will not be accepted.
